First lesson which I learnt in Education Technology course was educational frameworks for integrating technology into education. Under this theme, we studied two frameworks namely TPACK model and SMAR model. I feel these models help teachers and students to engage in meaningful learning and teaching experience. As far as TPACK model is concerned , there are three components : content knowledge , pedagogical knowledge and technological knowledge. By blending these three components as a teacher I can combine my subject knowledge to deliver content knowledge in a meaningful manner.It gives a meaningful learning experience to students. Moreover by attempting on blending technology in the teaching and learning process, as a teacher I can modify my teaching methods to best suit to the modern day world. Further it builds collaborative learning environments , where students can engage in group projects, discussions and different problem solving activities.
As far as a student is concerned, these framework driven instructional approaches provide different learning options for them. In addition to that, students get the chance to participate in the lesson actively where their creative skills, digital literacy skills and critical thinking skills are improved.
Moreover, as far as this whole course is concerned, it is based TPACK model teaching instructions where the lecturer delivered lessons by integrating technology with his pedagogical knowledge. As a student I enjoyed lessons and contents were delivered by giving me a novel learning experience.
